Launched in September of 2006 as a blog spot by freelance writer Jon Emmenidis, Certified Hip Hop quickly gained a steady readership. The blogs content was focused on providing coverage to all types of hip hop; mainstream, Indy, and international. The blog gained a strong enough readership that shifting to a full website made a great deal of sense. In early 2007, Jon Emmenidis reached out to promoter/manager Jonathan Master to join the Certified Hip Hop team and become co-owner of the site, and help transform CHH. Although in its infancy, Certified Hip Hop manages to provide a unique experience for readers combining reviews, interviews, and blogs directly from artists to give its readership unique content and unique access to artists. The site is dedicated to covering a broad range of hip hop and providing in-depth coverage on all types of hip hop. Look for the site to continue to grow as we release volumes of our own compilation series, providing you up to date content whether its news, reviews, interviews or multiediea, and gain more and more content from our Certified Hip Hop Artists.
